Our desire at DLMI is to be a beacon of light to a searching world and abiding hope to those who have been hurt, disappointed, disillusioned, battered, bruised and beaten-up by the church or religion.
Our goal to share the Gospel of Good News that God is not MAD at you and He never has been. He loves you no matter where you have been in your life or how far away you are or feel right now. He loves you no matter what you have been through or what you are going through today. At this very moment He loves you. If you are an alcoholic, a drug addict, ax-murderer, prostitute, homosexual, child molester, overeater, gambler, shop-a-holic.If you are mean and hateful, or an adulterer, rich or poor, in prison or rehab…no matter what you have done in the past or no matter where you find yourself today, we want you to know that you are loved, accepted and highly valued for who you are, not what you do.
God wants you to know that you do not have to do anything to achieve his love, just accept it. In John 10:10; Jesus said: "I came that you might have and enjoy (my) life and have it in abundance and all of it’s fullness until it overflows". There is no guilt, no shame, and no intimidation or condemnation no matter what you have been taught or what you were taught by "religion" or have been led to believe (Romans 8:1). You can have a real loving and accepting relationship with the Father without any strings or expectations attached, the only thing He wants is simply to be near you.
